Product Description

  1.

    Mölnlycke Mepilex® Lite Dressing, Without Border 6cm x 8.5cm – 284000

Mölnlycke Mepilex® Lite is a thin and flexible foam dressing designed to provide gentle wound coverage while supporting exudate management. Its lightweight construction makes it suitable for wound-care applications where a soft and conformable dressing is preferred.

The dressing features a soft wound contact surface designed to help minimize discomfort during dressing changes. Its flexible foam layer helps manage wound fluid while adapting to body contours for comfortable coverage.

The 6cm x 8.5cm borderless format provides a compact dressing option for appropriately sized wounds. Its unbordered design allows flexibility in positioning and use within an appropriate wound-management routine.

    Application:

Mepilex Lite can be used by laypersons under the supervision of health care professionals.
    1. Cleanse the wound in accordance with clinical practice.
    2. Dry the surrounding skin thoroughly.
    3. Select an appropriate dressing size. The dressing should cover the dry surrounding skin by at least 1–2cm for small sizes (sizes up to 12.5×12.5cm) and 3–5cm for large sizes. If required, the dressing may be cut to suit various wound shapes and locations.
    4. Remove the first release film and apply the adherent side to the wound.
    5. Remove the remaining release film and smooth down the dressing on the skin. Do not stretch the dressing.
    6. When necessary, fixate the dressing with a bandage or other fixation.

The dressing change interval may be several days. Change the dressing before it is fully saturated, at signs of leakage, or as indicated by clinical practice.
Mepilex Lite can be used under compression bandaging and in combination with gels.
Disposal should be handled according to local environmental procedures.

    Precautions:

    • Do not use on patients with known hypersensitivity to the dressing or its materials.
    • Do not use together with oxidising agents such as hypochlorite solutions or hydrogen peroxide.
    • If you see signs of clinical infection e.g. fever or if the wound or surrounding skin becomes red, warm or swollen, consult a health care professional for appropriate treatment.
    • Do not reuse, if reused performance of the product may deteriorate and cross contamination may occur.
    • Sterile. Do not use if sterile barrier is damaged or opened prior to use. Do not re-sterilise.
