Self-adhesive wound dressing made of soft non-woven carrier material and central absorbent wound pad with DryBarrier® Technology; the wound contact layer made of fine-meshed polyethylene net fabric prevents sticking to the wound; a transfer layer passes the exudate into the absorption layer and stores it there in order to prevent rewetting; very high absorption and storage capacity with an additional good padding effect; kind to the skin due to a hypoallergenic, synthetic adhesive. The postoperative wound dressing for maximum absorption at minimum rewetting

Cosmopor® Advance and Cosmopor® Antibacterial include the Dry Barrier® Technology, which allows the wound exudates to penetrate to the pad but not be released from it – even under pressure. This combination of high absorption capacity and extremely low rewetting permits the postoperative dressing to stay on the wound longer.

The already tried and tested product benefits of Cosmopor® are retained. Both products are sterile, self-adhesive wound dressings made of soft non-woven with a highly absorbent pad. The wound pad of Cosmopor Antibacterial also contains an inner layer coated with metallic silver having an antibacterial activity concerning gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. The wound pad of both products also includes a wound contact layer, which prevents the wound pad from adhering to the wound.

Application

For postoperative wound management and sterile dressing of minor injuries, e.g., in first aid. Cosmopor Advance is especially suitable for covering postoperative primary wounds with high volumes of exudates, and Cosmopor Antibacterial for covering wounds at risk of infection.
