Hollister New Image™ Flat FlexWear™ Skin Barrier With Tape, 19 mm, 44 mm Flange (14302) is designed to provide a comfortable and secure foundation for compatible Hollister New Image™ two-piece ostomy pouching systems. Its flat design sits smoothly against the skin and is intended for use with stomas that do not require a convex barrier.

The FlexWear™ skin barrier provides a protective layer between the stoma output and the surrounding skin. Its flexible construction is designed to move with the body while maintaining contact with the skin, helping support comfort during everyday activities.

This barrier features a 19 mm opening and a 44 mm flange, providing a precise fit for appropriately sized stomas. The tape border offers additional adhesive coverage around the barrier and helps support secure placement during wear.

As part of the New Image™ two-piece system, the skin barrier is designed to connect with a compatible pouch through the flange. This allows the pouch to be changed separately from the skin barrier, providing convenience and flexibility for everyday ostomy management.

How to Use

Begin by gently removing the existing ostomy appliance. Clean the skin around the stoma with warm water and allow it to dry completely. Make sure the skin is clean and completely dry before applying the new barrier.

Check that the 19 mm opening is appropriate for the stoma. Remove the protective backing from the skin barrier and carefully center the opening over the stoma.

Gently press the barrier onto the clean, dry skin, starting around the stoma and working outward. Smooth the barrier and tape border with your fingers to encourage good contact with the skin and help create a secure seal.

Attach a compatible Hollister New Image™ pouch to the 44 mm flange according to the manufacturer's instructions. Check the connection carefully to ensure the pouch is securely attached.

During wear, regularly inspect the barrier and surrounding skin for leakage, lifting, redness, irritation, or discomfort. If persistent leakage or skin irritation occurs, consult an ostomy nurse or healthcare professional.

Important Note

Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for use and confirm that the 44 mm flange is compatible with the selected New Image™ pouch. Proper sizing and application are important for achieving a secure seal and supporting healthy skin around the stoma.
