Hollister New Image™ Convex CeraPlus™ Skin Barrier – Tape, Up to 51 mm Cut-to-Fit, 70 mm Flange (11404) is designed to provide a secure and comfortable foundation for compatible Hollister New Image™ two-piece ostomy pouching systems. Its convex design is intended to gently conform around the stoma and help support a reliable seal during everyday ostomy care.

The CeraPlus™ skin barrier contains ceramide, which helps support and protect the skin around the stoma. It is designed to help maintain the natural condition of peristomal skin while providing a protective barrier between stoma output and the surrounding skin.

The up to 51 mm cut-to-fit opening allows the barrier to be customized to the size and shape of the stoma. Proper sizing can help create a close fit around the stoma and reduce unnecessary exposure of the surrounding skin.

The barrier features a tape border that provides additional adhesive coverage around the skin barrier. The 70 mm flange is designed for use with compatible Hollister New Image™ pouches, making it a practical choice for a two-piece ostomy system.

How to Use

Begin by gently removing the existing ostomy appliance. Clean the skin around the stoma with warm water and allow it to dry completely. Avoid oily creams, lotions, or other products that may interfere with adhesion.

Measure the stoma carefully using an appropriate stoma measuring guide. Because this is a cut-to-fit skin barrier, customize the opening to match the size and shape of the stoma, up to the specified 51 mm maximum. The opening should fit closely around the stoma without putting pressure on it.

Remove the protective backing from the barrier and carefully center the opening over the stoma. Gently press the barrier onto the clean, dry skin, beginning around the stoma and working outward. Smooth the tape border and outer edges to encourage good contact with the skin.

Attach a compatible Hollister New Image™ pouch to the 70 mm flange according to the manufacturer's instructions. Check that the pouch is securely connected before use.

During wear, regularly inspect the barrier and surrounding skin for leakage, lifting, redness, irritation, or discomfort. If persistent leakage or skin irritation occurs, consult an ostomy nurse or healthcare professional.

Important Note

Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for use and confirm that the 70 mm flange is compatible with the selected New Image™ pouch. Proper stoma measurement and application are important for achieving a secure seal and supporting healthy skin around the stoma.
