The soft wound contact layer helps minimise adhesion to the wound, supporting atraumatic dressing changes and helping protect delicate tissue. The silver-containing layer provides antimicrobial properties at the wound interface, while wound exudate can pass through the contact layer to an appropriate secondary absorbent dressing.
